The primary purpose of this role is to deliver on product roadmap priorities to achieve time to market and time to value targets by managing the product development lifecycle for a given product(s) through proven technical leadership. The incumbent may have budget responsibility or revenue responsibility, i.e. project profitability, sales revenue, training budget, etc.

Responsibilities

Overview:

  • Collaborate with multiple teams at Practice Fusion to define, build, market and support product development
  • Design and User Research to ensure the product is compelling and solving the right problems
  • Engineering in an agile environment to ensure the right product is built
  • Marketing and Sales to establish core messaging, value propositions and pricing
  • Legal and Quality to ensure a compliant product
  • Customer Support to incorporate user feedback into the product
  • Create and maintain agile team backlog
  • Collaborate with engineers to write epics and user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define scope and milestones
  • Groom and prioritize backlog items to best achieve core business objectives
  • Align stakeholders on current status and ensure the backlog is visible and clear to all
  • Manage inter-team dependencies to prevent impediments and foster collaboration
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure team activities and velocity are consistent with stakeholder expectations
  • Identify, track and manage risks, escalating when necessary
  • Partner with other product managers, executive leaders and designers to define product vision and strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Familiarity with agile software development
  • Experience building complex products within regulatory environments
  • Must be able to translate and articulate complex business problems into easily understood solutions and functional requirements
  • Ability to think strategically to solve problems in alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally across the organization, specifically with Engineering, Design, Operations and Marketing teams
  • 3-6 years of previous experience

Working arrangements:

  • A person working at this level would maintain regular working hours appropriate for the location and assignment
