The primary purpose of the Physician Support Coordinator/Trainer role is to serve as a main contact point for providers while providing education and support for the applications used by Liberty Hospital. 

Responsibilities

  • Acquire comprehensive product knowledge for applications to train the client Physician, physician extender and physician office base
  • Ensures appropriate training of physicians, extenders, and physician office staff takes place with software and processes
  • Identifies topics to be included in client provider training
  • Updates documentation related to end-user training consulting materials to incorporate new system features, implementation information and methodology.
  • Serves as a trainer responsible for the design, development and delivery of Physician training.
  • Deliver application training to Physicians in either a classroom, via telephone, or at client’s site.
  • Developing strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with the Client Physicians and staff
  • Communicates, monitors, and prioritizes physician and physician office service requests and incident resolutions through the CA Service Desk system and prioritizes workload
  • Serves as subject matter expert for applications used by physicians and office staff, increasing their ability to resolve issues independently
  • Assists in enhancement of efficiency and productivity for physicians and office staff by educating in the effective use of specific applications
  • Communicates present issues, decision points, etc. to the appropriate groups or leadership
  • Communicates changes and updates for clinical systems associated with physicians and office staff
  • Provides on-call support as needed
  • Assists in Establishment & maintenance of appropriate system access to ensure providers and office staff have appropriate access
  • Contributes to long term objectives for physician and physician office needs and opportunities for improvement
  • Assists with enhancement and performance of physician-focused applications
  • Participates in project success criteria and assists in defining metrics to be collected, analyzed, and reported
  • Builds positive relationships with physician and physician office staff
  • Communicates successes, challenges, opportunities, trends, and lessons that may impact administration/physician relationships to appropriate leadership
  • Communicates with project teams, physicians, and all impacted departments during implementations and upgrades
  • Assists implementation team in the definition and development of new or additional functionality to meet clinical needs, including testing of physician-related systems for facility-specific requirements
  • Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance
  • Works closely with Clinical Analysts to identify functional gaps and research potential solutions Attends physician office meetings and conducts presentations as needed
  • Serves as member of Physician Advisory Groups, Core Teams, and other facility/division-based meetings representing physician concerns, as needed Proactively pursues solutions to physician issues and concerns with facility, division, and enterprise leaders

  • Ensure efforts to continually improve domain knowledge.
  • Ensure the quality of the deliverables as per the defined defects standards
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity.
  • Provide data to generate team performance metrics.
  • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders.
  • Adherence to the defined standards.
  • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach.
  • Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues.
  • Actively participate in meetings and make valuable contribution.

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  •  BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience.

 

Experience:

  • 0-2 years Health IT industry experience preferred   
  • 2-5 years training experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience providing workflow analysis to providers and clinicians 
  • Excellent client facing skills with the ability to thrive in a highly critical, fast paced environment

Travel Requirements:

  •  May require local travel
  •  May require other travel for business needs

 

Working Arrangements:

  • May require after hours on call support
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
