The Customer Engagement Manager will have full accountability for managing the deliverables for our customers. A key aspect of the role includes liaising with Customer Engagement, Operations, Interventions, and Product to ensure the service delivery commitments Pulse8 has made to our customers are fulfilled. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and experience or an understanding of project management principals and health information systems technology (IT).

 

This can be a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full oversight to risk adjustment and quality-related projects and products that provide a significant impact to our health insurance and ACO customers.
  • Developing business cases and requirements for Risk Adjustment analytics such as condition gap opportunities, Risk Score modeling, and financial impacts and trending.
  • Supporting CE by leading customer requests for in-depth research and analysis.
  • Engaging directly with current or new customers to support strategic alignment, improve customer outcomes, and product utilization.
  • Leading research initiatives to monitor Pulse8’s algorithm performance over time and recommend future enhancements to the Product Team.
  • Collaborating with Pulse8 clinicians in outcomes, algorithm performance, and new product development.
  • Developing customer presentations and reporting enhancements to streamline Pulse8 operations and support processes.
  • Reports to Senior Director of Customer Engagement and support the CE department based on customer’s needs.
  • Collaborate with all the relevant customer stakeholders and Pulse8 Product Owners & teams.
  • Oversee partnership work with key internal stakeholders, primarily CE and Operations to understand project progress, expected project success, and data trends within each project/customer deliverables.
  • Understand and have the ability to analyze project data to identify trends related to project goals and act accordingly within the organization.
  • Support the creation and improvement of processes, procedures, and tools to improve the quality of customer deliverables and communications.
  • Understand and support documentation of customer requirements, enhancements, concerns, and issues.
  • Support CE during scheduled weekly and/or monthly discussions with the relevant customer stakeholders to manage open issues and meet customer needs.
  • Oversee the standard and timely customer communications to inform customers of regulatory changes and possible downstream impacts; provide analysis on need basis.
  • Researching government regulatory guidance, providing expert interpretation for impacts to Pulse8 products and customers.
  • Support and be able to discuss customer’s portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all the relevant projects and strategy.
  • Providing guidance to customers and other teams on all facets of the Risk Adjustment process, from initial data capture at point-of-care, through acceptance to CMS, and successfully validated through audit. 

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/technical experience
  • 5 or more years of experience analyzing and interpreting MA/ACA Risk Adjustment data
  • Experience supporting the development of scalable analytic and reporting solutions

 

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in healthcare industry, with a focus on Risk Adjustment, Quality and Healthcare/Health IT industry experience preferred
  • Prior experience in Account Management, Operations for a health data analytics & services company or Health plan operations desired
  • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from an account support perspective
  • Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
  • Demonstrated capability for problem-solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness and ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Experience with MA/ACA Risk Scoring methodology, including familiarity with condition categories (HCC)
  • Experience interacting with large amounts of healthcare data
  • Experience working with clinical classification such as diagnoses (ICD), procedures (HCPCS, CPT) and claims processing
  • Experience working with data to and from submission systems (RAPS, EDPS, Edge), including background on filtering logic for each system
  • Experience with SQL or SAS
  • Experience and/or understanding of MA mid-year and final year projections (MYRA, FYRA) and/or ACA transfer payments
  • Working knowledge of statistics with ability/interest to become proficient

  • Effective communication skills at all levels, excellent communication of oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups, local and remote

Travel requirements:

  • For this role, travel up to 25% may be required to customer sites for significant account reviews or other strategic on-site meetings.

 

Working arrangements:

  • Monday through Friday or as defined by assignment requirements
