    The primary purpose of this role is to serve in an advisory capacity and to facilitate the flow of communication between the customer and Allscripts’ development team in order to make new product recommendations and to improve the integration between the Allscripts suite of applications. This role is expected to function and operate both strategically at the executive level and tactically within the execution and program teams.


    • Establish and manage relationships with a complex client, that include (but not limited to) senior executive, physician, I/T, clinical, and operational leadership, and client project sponsors
    • Participate in and understand client’s key business imperatives related to solution integration and its impact on patient care, patient outcomes and value based medicine
    • Serve as executive liaison to client, and serve as primary control point for product/integration imperatives
    • Provide tactical, day to day operational support with client team to scope, define, draft and deliver supporting materials (requirements, use cases, test plans, status reports, risk assessments, action item management, roadmaps, etc.)
    • Actively engage and effectively articulate business/clinical needs and systems requirements to Allscripts Solution Management Team
    • Work with the client sponsors and Director, Client Solutions to validate the program strategy, and to define the team structures for the execution of the project
    • Co-develop project charter with client counterpart that serves to guide the formulated team through goals, objectives, expectations, commitments, communication protocols, success criteria and measurement, etc.
    • Collaborate with client and Allscripts teams to leverage best practices and provide feedback for enhancements to the Allscripts solutions
    • Acquire and maintain industry and product knowledge in order to guide the client successfully
    • Coordinate product update and roadmap discussions and meetings with SDO leaders and client
    • Coordinate and schedule monthly joint Allscripts Steering Committee Meetings for the purpose of reviewing progress, risks, next steps, etc.
    • Coordinate with Sales to introduce solutions that assist client with achieving stated business imperatives
    • Provide insight to client on clinical change management as a result of integrating clinical solutions
    • Work collaboratively with client to solicit and manage clinician/physician requirements for solutions integration


    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent
    • Masters Degree in Business or Engineering preferred, but not required
    • Clinical experience preferred but not required
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred, but not required


    • Prefer 12-15 years of experience in Healthcare IT and/or Healthcare service delivery
    • Minimum 1 year of Allscripts knowledge and experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of Managed Care, preferred
    • Understanding of healthcare operations and work flow across patient care continuum
    • Comfortable discussing and addressing complex healthcare business and technology issues and trends (PCMH, Meaningful Use, ACOs, etc.)
    • Proven ability to interact with client executive management
    • Ability to analyze clients’ business needs and determine project related requirements
    • Ability to work with all levels of client and Allscripts management to ensure proper and audience appropriate communication of Allscripts product and program status and to identify and escalate issues as appropriate
    • Understanding of, or experience in, the product development and software development life cycles

    Travel Requirements:

    • Up to 25% travel.
