    The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support for assigned applications.



    • Work under the direction of the Manager to provide integration solutions for assigned business areas.
    • Possess technical knowledge of Orion Rhapsody integration engine.
    • Work with Business to understand the Allscripts Touchworks EHR integration requirements.
    • Configure and translate requirements to technical design specifications and data flow diagrams
    • Code, test, debug, implement, and document programs or technical configuration.
    • Ensure programs meet technical specifications and HL7
    • Interact with Business and clinical representatives during the integration build or configuration and testing process.
    • Design and execute unit, system and integration test plans for new developments/releases/reports.
    • Maintain technical documentation based on standard operating procedures in support of integration.
    • Provide production support and maintenance on application and interfaces.
    • Assist in resolving support calls escalated by the Service Desk.
    • Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so thatthey do not reoccur in further development work.
    • Collaborate with project manager, business, and management to meet implementation project time-lines.
    • Possess senior level knowledge of application and integration.
    • Ensure application changes and enhancements meet the technical specifications and adhere to all change control policies.

    • Customer focus and close alignment with the customers’ business objectives.
    • Ensure efforts to continually improve domain knowledge.
    • Ensure the quality of the deliverables as per the defined standards
    • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity.
    • Provide data to generate team performance metrics.
    • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level
    • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders.
    • Adherence to the defined standards.
    • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach.
    • Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues.
    • Actively participate in meetings and make valuable contribution.


    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    •  BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.



    • 2-5 years healthcare industry experience preferred
    • 5-10 years extensive experience with Orion Rhapsody integration engine, or equivalent integration engine
    • Expert knowledge of XML and HL7 specifications and standards, with prior interface development and testing experience preferred.
    • Clinical integration experience with Allscripts Touchworks EHR, or comparable ambulatory EMR application.
    • Expertise with Orion Rhapsody integration engine including the documentation, design, building, testing,
      implementation and support of interfaces.
    • Working knowledge of SQL and JavaScript  
    • Understanding of healthcare applications and terminology, and patient care priorities preferred.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team
    • Capacity to work under pressure and prioritize work appropriately


    Travel Requirements:

    •  May require local travel
    •  May require other travel for business needs


    Working Arrangements:

    • May require after hours on call support
    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
