    ***Allscripts Commercial Operations Analyst - Contract Concessions Team*** 

    Role is based in Alpharetta, GA OR Raleigh, NC

     

    The primary purpose of this role is to review quotes and signed client contracts, execution of contracts, front-end processing of returns and cancellations, as well as non-quote related contract amendments. This associate will review concession requests via SalesForce.com and will make a determination regarding the request based upon his/her analysis, consultation, and knowledge of our business processes.

     

    This role is hourly-paid, non-exempt.  

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for accurate and timely data collection using financial tools, primarily Oracle, to consolidate total financial picture including revenue recognition, A/R and balance sheet accounts
    • Develop advanced excel models to assist in reporting and analysis
    • Drive the resolution of product, contract, and/or customer issues with a full understanding of company policies and procedures
    • Conduct customer, contract and amendment reviews by analysing accounting related data and determining the financial impact of various scenarios
    • Direct activities and meetings with senior management within legal, sales, operations, accounting and finance to determine best course of action
    • Deliver strategic recommendations which will require the creation and maintenance of data repositories
    • Utilize financial models that incorporate all relevant metrics and drivers of the business
    • Communicate analytical results verbally, in writing, and in presentation form to all levels of management
    • Ensure proper accounting for all business unit specific revenues and expenses
    • Provide financial analysis of customer specific contracting opportunities
    • Recommend and participate in process improvement initiatives related to business unit objectives
    • Assist in gaining quality participation from executives
    • Validate business case for amendment submissions
    • Work with senior management on analysis prioritization
    • Validate and shepherd document approvals
    • Provide all necessary supporting documentation to process needed documents including amendments, contract correction notice, page replacement, customer termination letter, etc.

    Qualifications

    Academic and professional qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred

     

    Experience:

    • 2+ years' experience in a contract processing or customer service role
    • Impressive analytical and writing skills, plus confident, strong verbal communications
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Solid understanding of the healthcare/pharmaceutical industries, preferred
    • Advanced expertise with Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Office)
    • Ability to calmly handle difficult situations and people; capable of effectively communicating with all levels of management and peers

    Working Arrangements:

    • Work is performed in a normal office setting (Alpharetta, GA OR Raleigh, NC) with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
    • Substantial time is spent working on a computer and on the phone
