The primary purpose of this role is to support the RCM team with administrative tasks in order to expedite the turnaround of AR. The RCM Clerk provides internal and external customer service as it relates to searching and correcting contact information and making changes in systems. Additionally, the RCM Clerk provides feedback to supervisor and clients. Additionally, the position supports the company’s overall Operations and Client Services departments.by efficiently and effectively driving the Revenue Cycle Management process and delivering results.

Technical: Knowledge on use of email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use payer websites and Laserfiche; knowledge and use of Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, Excel. Preferred experience with Microsoft: Access and PowerPoint, and various billing systems, such as IBM Billing and Allscripts.
Personal: Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; attentive to detail; collaborative; multi-tasker, ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Communication: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group situations, such as clients, patients, and other employees in the organization.
Math & Reasoning:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variable in standardized situations. Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in basic math equations including monetary values.
Physical and Environmental Elements:
Physical demands: Ability to sit continuously for up to 2/3 of normal work shift. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and to reach with hands and arms occasionally. Ability to talk and to hear continuously. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds periodically. Finger dexterity is required frequently for up to 1/3 of the normal work shift.
Vision: Ability to see at close range (20 inches or less), at a distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more), ability to identify and distinguish colors, ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships, and ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
Work Environment: Employee may work a portion of the time in an office with moderate noise levels (such as computers and printers) and controlled temperature conditions. Primarily, the employee will work outdoors and on the road in a variety of weather types, such as extreme cold or extreme heat. Regularly may be exposed to fumes and traffic. Regularly operates a vehicle and is exposed to traffic conditions that include loud noises, fumes, traffic congestion.
