    The primary purpose of this role is to provide second line of support assistance to employees experiencing problems with IS supported software and hardware.

    Responsibilities

    • Identifies and resolves desktop/laptop hardware problems
    • Initial network troubleshooting and determination of appropriate escalation path
    • Resolve and work proactively on virus issues and initiatives
    • Assists in new system deployments/loading appropriate software as needed
    • Maintain Web support hints, tips, and FAQs
    • Mobility kit physical upgrades
    • Responsible for incidents escalated from first line of support
    • Write support documentation for customer and/or departmental use
    • Provides suggestions and information on projects that should be undertaken by the department
    • May manage projects as assigned by the Manager
    • Assists in web page development for the Intranet and for our third party WebFirst application
    • Induct new employees in order to quickly maximize performance

    Qualifications

    Academic and professional qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, Business; OR
    • Relevant combination of training and experience

    Experience:

    • 2-4years in an Employee Help Desk environment

    Travel Requirements:

    • Travel, based on the needs of the assignment would be a requirement for this position working arrangements

    • 24/5 Support
