    The primary purpose of this role is to create the business and/or functional requirements necessary for technology solutions that meet customer needs, expected delivery dates, and exceptional quality standards. This role will be focused on solutions related to facility and physician coding and billing offered with our Sunrise product suite.

    Responsibilities

    • Work under the direction of the Manager to provide application and workflow solutions for assigned business area(s)
    • Possess functional knowledge of assigned application technology
    • Interact with business users to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests
    • Serve liaison role between technical team and business users
    • Translate business requirements into product-specific designs and configuration, detailed requirement specifications, and use cases
    • Assist in developing functional specifications, design documents, business process workflow and related documentation for new development projects and/or enhancement and modification requests to be used by Systems Analyst
    • Perform functional application configuration
    • Assist in designing and execution of functional, integration, and regression test plans for new application functionality, product releases and enhancement and regulatory modifications using business scenarios and use cases
    • Work with scrum team to ensure features, enhancements, and/or workflows meet business needs
    • Demonstrate new functionality to business users seeking inputs on future direction
    • Review vendor provided documentation and user manuals needed to support the product
    • Directly interface with business users by responding to support calls escalated by Support
    • Monitor customer change requests and assist with backlog organization and grooming
    • Participate in user focus groups and requirements workshops, vendor training and demonstrations
    • Actively participate in the annual Customer User Group by leading work groups, providing content for presentations, and other duties as assigned
    • Assist in supporting activations and rollouts
    • Demonstrate consistent efforts to deliver quality solutions as per agreed scope
    • Ensure efforts to continually improve domain knowledge and become Subject Matter Expert for assigned product area(s)
    • Ensure the quality of the deliverables as per the defined defects standards
    • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity
    • Provide data to generate team performance metrics
    • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level
    • Manage competing resources and priorities
    • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach
    • Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues
    • Actively participate in meetings and make valuable contribution

    Qualifications

    Academic and professional qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor's degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.
    • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
    • Ability to influence stakeholders without being confrontational
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills
    • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and with others
    • Capable of Big Picture Thinking while delivering on the details

     

    Experience:

     

    • Up to 2 years entry level to moderate experience in providing support and maintenance in assigned product
    • Experience in the area of Outpatient Coding (primarily Emergency Department, Observation, Clinics, and Urgent Care Centers) preferred

     

    Travel requirements:

     

    • May require 10-20% domestic travel

     

    Working arrangements:

    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
