    The primary purpose of this role is management of applications support functions of a Managed Services account.





    Daily responsibilities:

    • Daily supervision of the Ancillary Core team analysts
    • Manage Core team analysts- workload and training/guidance.
    • Assist with operational oversight for the RIS and Imaging/PACS teams as well.
    • Knowledge of Siemens Syngo Workflow and Nuance Powerscribe systems from both a User and Setup perspective.
    • Work with our departmental customers, other IT teams, project managers, OCIO representatives on any requests or incidents relating to Ancillary team systems
    • Issue troubleshooting- ability to resolve issues not seen before, using all resources available including the Internet, vendors and other experts to solution a request or problem.
    • Create, maintain and update test plans, test cases, test environment, through life cycle
    • Participate or lead presentations to various Northwell Stakeholders
    • Produce Training documentation for the Ancillary team as well as departmental system users


    • Intermediate knowledge of HL7 interface message structure. Able to troubleshoot interface issues independently.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access.
    • Knowledge of Transact-SQL, ability to write advanced database queries to the Syngo RIS database as per user requests.
    • Knowledge of technical and professional billing in a hospital setting. Familiar with CPT codes, modifiers and ICD10 diagnosis codes
    • Provide status reports as needed
    • Multi-task and prioritize workload
    • Provide on-call support for Help Desk Incident tickets
    • Attending meetings as requested, representing the Ancillary team. Provide summary to team management.
    • Good training skills- may be asked to create training documentation and train internal or external staff on the systems that the team supports.
    • May be asked to attend project scheduling meetings
    • Provide effective and efficient applications support IT services which meet the needs and requirements of client hospital/health system.
    • Assists in account profitability to meet revenue and margin requirements set at the corporate level
    • Effective management of the client relationship and resolution of client issues.
    • Continuous risk identification and appropriate escalation.
    • Effective utilization and management of staff such that milestones/goals are obtained and staff is motivated and competent.
    • Understands application and technical functionality and capabilities to effectively provide solutions for business requirements.
    • Balances demand management for multiple complex simultaneous projects, operational enhancements, break-fix, and maintenance requests.
    • Provides strategic guidance for planning projects and operational support for health system initiatives.
    • Ensure team adherence to all team, account, and client policies and procedures.
    • Support needs across a complex healthcare setting.
    • Manages complex implementations and post implementation optimization across hospital/heath system network.
    • Scopes projects, develop budgets and assess cost of ownership
    • Effectively translate business requirements to technical specicfiations / IT requirements.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    •  BA or BS Degree and/or relevant business experience.



    •  3-5 years industry experience preferred
    •  Up to 2 years experience in information technology management preferred
    • Knowledge of all Radiology and PACS Enterprise systems from a User perspective.
    • Radiology Information system management, preferably Siemens Syngo Workflow
    • Voice recognition systems, preferably Nuance Powerscribe
    • A working knowledge of PACS systems
    • Intermediate level of HL7 interface troubleshooting
    • Intermediate to advanced level of MS Access and t-SQL
    • IT education/background required
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail, passion for quality
    • Advanced Microsoft Office applications user (Word, Excel, ,Access, Power Point, Visio)


    Travel Requirements:

    •  May require local travel
    •  May require other travel for business needs


    Working Arrangements:

    • May require on call after hours support
    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
