    The primary purpose of this role is to deliver on product roadmap priorities to achieve time to market and time to value targets by managing the product development lifecycle for a given product(s) through proven technical leadership. The incumbent may have budget responsibility or revenue responsibility, i.e. project profitability, sales revenue, training budget, etc.

    Activities for this position include:

    • Cross-functionally drive development and launch of the product from concept to delivery
    • Defines and writes technical and functional specifications including requirements and detailed use cases for new product features
    • Explains designs and constraints to stakeholders, writing User Stories for Dev teams
    • Work with engineering, QA, professional services, and technical operations in a Scrum team during design and implementation to shape the technical feature set and usability of the product and ensure the highest quality products delivered on-time, on budget and with superior performance and support
    • Analyzes and ensures performance requirements are met
    • Reviews test plans with software quality assurance team
    • Collects and manages requirements from all stakeholders for one or more products across multiple product generations
    • Synthesizes requirements from the various stakeholders
    • Plans and manages execution of product roadmaps, development schedules and product/component designs
    • Manages the cross functional compatibility of software, hardware, and firmware for the solution
    • Coordinates business and contractual arrangements with partners
    • Trains and supports others on functional area related topics
    • Supports advisory boards, user groups and SIGs as needed


    Academic and professional qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Marketing, Finance, or business related field.
    • MBA strongly preferred

    Experience Requirements:

    • 5 years related work experience
    • Software design experience in complex, multi-tasking, real-time, highly availability systems
    • Experience with relational databases
    • Experience working in small, highly focused teams
    • Experience with complex software solutions across multiple generations of product, preferably in agent-based solutions. Must be able to define and manage complex process and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • 1-3 years product management experience
    • Experience writing technical functional specifications
    • Focus on electronic prescribing workflows
    • Regulations surrounding electronic prescribing
    • Familiar with other clinical workflows and the relationship of those to electronic prescribing
    • And all the other PO/M qualities 

    Travel requirements:

    • Little travel (less than 15%)

    Working arrangements:

    • A person working at this level would maintain regular working hours appropriate for the location and assignment


    • This position will be based out of the Litchfield, IL office.
