    The primary purpose of this role is to provide quality assurance support for all applications with exceptional quality standards.


    The SCM Testing Analyst will be responsible for participating in and executing test scripts for all phases of application testing for the various components of the Sunrise Clinical Manager application, including Acute, Sunrise Emergency Care, and Pharmacy.   The testing analyst must understand workflow & configuration to develop use cases for functional & integrated testing.  This position also requires writing, updating, and maintaining test plans according to established methodologies.


    • Work under the direction of the Manager and/or Lead to provide QA solutions for assigned projects.
    • Authoring, maintaining and executing test cases in accordance with established standards and formats. Proactively understands changes to project scope and makes relevant changes to test scripts and scenarios as appropriate.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of functional and technical specifications and incorporating this information into test cases.
    • Design and participate in all phases for testing life cycle. (Complete understanding of SDLC)
    • Identify and document defects and assist with classification, tracking, retesting, and resolution as required
    • Review documentation and user manuals to obtain functional and technical knowledge of assigned application technology.
    • Interact with business users, business analysts and systems analysts to understand requirements and enhancement requests
    • Support user training and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Provide production support during go lives.
    • Create test scripts as per workflow and business requirement
    • Provide accurate testing status to leadership & project team(s).
    • Active participant in process improvements, voice project concerns, impacts
    • Active participant in best practices
    • Negotiate approach, effort & delivery time
    • Meet with the clinical teams and subject matter experts to gather specifications and understand workflow that will be incorporated into the test scripts
    • Develop testing plans and testing documents, including use case development
    • Maintain the test scripts for unit, system, integrated, and end to end testing for new activations, configuration and build changes, and software upgrades
    • Review test cases and other testing artifacts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all testing materials.
    • Develop and maintain a traceability matrix.
    • Participate in all phases of application and interface testing.
    • Provide 24/7 on-site support during activations


    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    •  BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.



    •  Up to 2 years entry level to moderate experience in providing support and maintenance in assigned product preferred
    • Up to one year experience with application testing and test script writing
    • Proficiency in using testing tools preferred
    • Experience with requirements analysis and clinical test case/script development.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients in a healthcare environment.
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Healthcare background preferred
    • Ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance.
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Knowledge of Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager a plus.
    • Ability to work with Mobile Applications and provide support for clients.
    • Knowledge of prior testing experience with Mobile Applications a plus.


    Travel Requirements:

    •  May require local travel
    •  May require other travel for business needs


    Working Arrangements:

    • May require after hours on call support
    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
