     The primary purpose of Systems Analyst - Sunrise Clinical Manager role is to provide in-depth analysis of work-flows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of SCM software; is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with SCM applications; and will design, build, test, install and maintain those solutions. This particular role requires strong knowledge and experience working with HL7 interfaced orders and results applications; Preferable Radiology, Cardiology, or Lab information systems.




    • Perform analysis, design and configuration of all modules of the Sunrise application as well as any other application supported by the Sunrise team.
    • Define departmental/clinical requirements and translate requirements into technical specifications for configuration and/or coding of the Sunrise application.
    • Ability to write and perform unit, functional and integration test plans for product enhancements, upgrades, projects and maintenance changes.
    • Ensures all quality assurance processes are followed, including change management and testing efforts.
    • Maintain/update technical and support documentation based on standard operating procedures and functionality of the application to support all applications within the Sunrise department.
    • Create knowledge-based articles and/or documentation with other team members to improve overall team education level.
    • Take complete ownership for assigned tasks/projects/changes to provide regular updates on the progress to team members and identified stakeholders.
    • Identify, communicate and escalate issues, requirements and updates related to application functionality with other team members and software vendors.
    • Respond to help desk calls and work with clinical users to resolve issues.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of workflow policies and procedures as it relates to the Sunrise application as well as any other application supported by the Sunrise team.
    • Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
    • Provide on-call rotation support for the all modules application of the application supported within the team. 
    • Understanding of ADT and at least one downstream ancillary (laboratory, radiology, cardiology, etc.) orders and results HL7 interface is highly preferred
    • Maintain and Map an order or charge item catalogWork under the direction of the Manager to provide technical application solutions for assigned business areas.
    • Work under the direction of the Manager to provide technical application solutions for assigned business areas.
    • Possess technical knowledge of assigned application technology.
    • Work with Business Analyst to understand the customer’s product-specific requirements and configuration and translate them to technical design specifications and data flow from which programs are developed and coded.
    • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs or technical configuration.
    • Ensure programs meet technical specifications and standards.
    • Interact with Business and clinical representatives during the software build or configuration and testing process.
    • Perform technical application configuration and configure /run reports at user request.
    • Design and execute unit, system and integration test plans for new developments/releases/reports.
    • Maintain technical documentation based on standard operating procedures in support of the assigned application.
    • Perform application maintenance activities
    • Provide production support.
    • Assist in resolving support calls escalated by the Service Desk.
    • Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so that they do not reoccur in further development work.
    • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure project deadlines are met.  
    • Participate in focus groups and workshops, attend vendor training and demonstrations.

    • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders.
    • Adherence to the defined standards.
    • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach.
    • Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues.
    • Actively participate in meetings and make valuable contribution.
    • Provide production support for application issues.
    • Identify, coordinate and communicate issues, requirements and status related to application functionality with other team members and software vendors.
    • Ensure the quality of the deliverables as per the defined defects standards and excelling within that.


    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    •  BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.



    •  0-2 years Industry experience preferred
    •  2-5 years practical experience in providing technical support and maintenance in assigned product preferred
    • Ability to create test scripts and perform testing in a fast paced environment.
    • Knowledge of Allscripts Sunrise application is a plus
    • Knowledge of HL7 functionality
    • Familiarity with Radiology and Cardiology terminology, CPT and charge/service codes is preferred
    • Experience working with and/or supporting a Radiology or Cardiology catalog is preferred
    • Being a motivated self-starter and critical thinker is essential
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and maintain technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.


    Travel Requirements:

    •  May require local travel
    •  May require other travel for business needs


    Working Arrangements:

    • May require after hours on call support
    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
