The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the Sales Executives in order to win business in alignment with business capabilities and goals. The incumbent will ensure proposals are accurate, maximize profitability of deals, and work within the current corporate travel and expense policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales projects by managing medium to complex RFP and RFI opportunities, including managing Sales, Services, Product, Legal, Finance, and third-party staff to meet client requests
  • Take ownership of all appropriate deliverables, which includes planning response deliverable(s), creating and tracking response tasks, proofing and editing content as needed for voice and flow, and providing timely and accurate status to Sales and Sales Operations Management
  • Responsible for version control of documents using relevant tools (e.g. SharePoint)
  • Assess RFP and proposal response to determine areas that may represent a potential risk or liability to the organization. Works with Sales, Solutions Development Organization, Legal, Operations, and other relevant departments to gain agreement on acceptable solution or terms for the business and the client
  • If applicable, act as assigned solution SME for Allscripts stakeholders, including Sales, Services, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams
  • If applicable, assume responsibility of answering technical and functional questions of RFP/RFI, and acting as liaison with Solutions Development Organization for obtaining custom input
  • Demonstrating proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Adobe, MS Office Word, Excel, Visio, etc.), image capturing tools (e.g. SnagIt, Paint ShopPro, Adobe Photoshop) and graphics tools
  • Implementing content in line with established plans and documentation standards for the assigned product and/or solution
  • Interact with Sales, Services, Development, Finance, and Legal teams for content validation and management reviews to ensure meeting client requirements
  • Coordinate and manage multilevel review process (team only, team plus management, team plus executive level) to ensure accuracy and compliance to business expectations at time of proposal submission
  • Providing peer review support to Allscripts teams for work produced by others; approving work produced by others
  • Mentoring other members of the team to improve skill, efficiency, and adherence to process standards
  • Contributes to the design and execution of process improvement initiatives surrounding RFP deal review, and contract element validation
  • Provides a central point-of-contact for the collection of data throughout the RFP/RFI lifecycle
  • Works closely with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the RFP process
  • Maintains and creates accurate, professional and up-to-date RFP response information via RFP database

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or equivalent experience

 

Experience:

  • Typically requires 4-7 years experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com and SharePoint

 

Travel Requirements:

  •  Minimal - once per year

 

Working Arrangements:

  • Peak times include end of month, end of quarter, and end of year.  During these times we may limit PTO to meet the needs of the business
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
