The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership and strategic planning for facilities operations, globally. This includes all aspects of operations – space management, regulatory compliance, security, helpdesk, shipping/receiving, reception.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations, globally, with an emphasis to drive efficiency and consistency in functions and processes at all locations
  • Implement financial plans and projects as related to organization’s long term goals and objectives. Develop and manage annual budgets and cost controls to ensure expenses are commensurate with established operating budget
  • Oversee office space planning activities and maintain accurate headcount data for all locations, including occupancy, utilization and available space statistics
  • Implement strategy for regulatory compliance to ensure all facilities meet legal and government agency requirements, including OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA & ADA or other standard compliance programs
  • Participate in corporate level development and assessment of business continuity plans and ensure all locations have current work plans that have been tested in drills or other exercises
  • Implement procedures related to facility security including security guard service and card access system. Provide input as required for corporate level audits of systems and processes. Ensure compliance with SOC, SOX, HIPAA and other applicable regulations
  • Participate in key real estate portfolio decisions; manage all terms and conditions of operating portions of real estate leases to ensure compliance with lease terms as related to operations
  • Implement team vision, strategy and goals
  • Keep informed of new developments and trends in Facilities and makes recommendations for implementation
  • Act as escalation point for issues with other departments. Seek resolution to prevent recurrence
  • Define, lead and measure progress of Facilities operations process improvement initiatives
  • Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies
  • Induct new joiners in order to quickly maximize performance
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPI to inspire individuals to achieve high performance
  • Allocate work load to fully utilize every employee’s talent
  • Implement development plans and coach for individuals to reach their maximum talent
  • Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance on a timely manner
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
  • Regularly communicate on company news and team progress against business plan
  • Create team spirit

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent

Experience:

  •  Minimum 12 years’ experience in managing global facility operations
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams

Travel Requirements:

  •  25%-35%

Working Arrangements:

  • Working arrangements are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
