We have an immediate need for a Senior Citrix Support Engineer to provide support and implementation of new Citrix systems for external customers. Working in a collaborative manner with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure resolution of reported issues is performed in a timely manner and service uptimes are maintained.


This is a Remote based position


  • Provide operational and technical support for the client Citrix Server environment and associated applications such as XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, Citrix Provisioning Services, and Netscaler (VPX).
  • Perform daily tasks to ensure the stability and optimization of the server environment, which includes proactively identifying potential system issues before they become a problem, working with team members in deciding a resolution, and implementing the agreed upon resolutions.
  • Perform maintenance of the operating systems on all Citrix servers, monitoring system usage and performance, patching, file-system management, process automation, server installation/configuration, third-party application support including installations and configurations, and being the highest escalation resource for end-user support
  • Interface with business users and stakeholders to determine needs
  • Coordinate, test, and implement all enhancements or new releases of Citrix technology, Operating Systems, and business critical software
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate system utilization to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of applications and system resources
  • Responds to events off hours and as an on-call resource.  On-call responsibilities are shared on a rotation basis.




Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant technical experience
  • Post-graduate qualifications or technical certifications preferred





  • System administration experience on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
  • Advanced skill level with Citrix commands/utilities.
  • Advanced understanding of virtualization technologies, system security standards, and performance monitoring and improvement.
  • Experience with Citrix implementation, administrative, and user support 
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Citrix Netscalers


5+ years of experience with Citrix Provisioning Services

5+ years’ experience with XenApp 6.5 and XenApp 7.x

5 + years’ experience with NetScaler 10.x and above



Additional Skills:

Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal communications) are a MUST.

Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.

Must be highly flexible and adaptable to changing requirements, priorities, and environments. 

Must be a self-starter, take initiative, and proactive

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies and VMware

Strong background in McKesson\Allscripts applications is a plus: Paragon and One Content.

NetScaler VPX: SSL Certs, SSL Off loading, Content Switching, and Load Balancing a major plus.

Healthcare experience a PLUS.
