The primary purpose of this role is to install, implement, configure, upgrade, and optimize the performance of application systems and databases required to operate Allscripts software Development and QA environments.


Establish, manage and maintain the Demo / Training Environments, Upgrades, and Assigned Tasks that meet agreed functional requirements and customer expectations

  • Customer focus and close alignment with the customers’ business objectives
  • Ensure enough reviews have happened (Peer, Stakeholders) and all review comments have been closed / incorporated before delivery of any solutions/systems
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of scope creep and get their consensus
  • Keep current with a diverse and rapidly changing suite of company solutions, prototype systems and third-party products
  • Provide help desk technical support on system issues in the areas of hardware, software applications and database administration



Demo / Training Environments, Upgrades, and Assigned Task delivered within estimates and according to agreed schedule/within Target Level of Agreement

  • Assure business continuity of the systems and services for which is assigned in a user-centric, economically effective and efficient manner
  • Keep all stakeholders informed in a timely manner about slippages / delays and arrive with the plan to achieve the set goals on time
  • Ensure every team member knows the schedule and plan


Demo / Training Environments, Upgrades, and Assigned Task delivered with defined quality standards along with minimal amount of downtime disruptions, number of cases of poor analysis or design resulting into defects and re-work


  • Execute certification/stability testing. Create and use scripts and other methods, as applicable, to certify that the systems are technically stable and working as expected
  • Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so that they do not reoccur
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables 


Contribution towards the team synergy / influence team to achieve goals

  • Participate in help desk on-call duties during and after hours as assigned
  • Perform effectively and pleasantly under tight schedules and rapidly changing requirements in an environment that is prone to high level of interruption
  • Design and develop support collaterals, which include training materials, architectural diagrams, system specifications, test procedures, user guides, etc. Keep documentation current
  • Design, develop and/or conduct user based training
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity
  • Provide data to generate team performance metrics
  • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders
  • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; Proactive Approach
  • Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues
  • Actively participate in the project meetings and make valuable contribution


Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant technical experience


  • At least 3 years of progressively expanding experience with systems and network administration and systems configuration
  • Building, deploying, and managing applications and services in a cloud computing service like Azure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technology problem solver
  • Strong software implementation/integration experience (e.g. installing/integrating new applications into existing infrastructure)
  • Clinical Information Systems background/experience a plus.
  • Allscripts Sunrise Products, Touchworks, Professional EHR implementation experience a plus


Must have experience in the following areas:

  • Windows 2012/2016 Server, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, .NET
  • SQL Server 2014/2016
  • VMware 5.5 and up
  • XenApp 7.x and up
  • Networking, Wireless technologies
  • PowerShell/scripting

Travel requirements:

  • As needed based upon project requirements, but could be up to 30%

Working arrangements:

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
