The primary purpose of Sr Systems Analyst in the Solutions Architect Interoperability group is to gather business and/or functional requirements necessary for Integration/Interoperability to be implemented with Applications/Software to meet the best Healthcare Industry practices/design, customer needs, expected delivery dates, and exceptional quality standards.

 

The candidate is expected to be experienced and conversant across healthcare applications, Data Analytics, HL7, XML, and CCDA integration and interoperability

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Manager to provide application solutions for assigned business areas.
  • Leading the design of cross functional integration/interopereability projects ; acting as subject matter expert and advocate of the application interoperability to ensure that the delivered solution is the optimal design for the Enterprise and follow industry best practices.
  • Interact with business users to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests
  • Serve liaison role between application technology vendors, internal IS groups, and business users.
  • Translate business/product requirements into product-specific designs and configuration, detailed requirement specifications and use cases.
  • Deliver functional specifications, design documents, business process workflow, technical documentations, and related documentation for new development projects and/or enhancement and modification requests to be used by Systems Analyst.
  • Interact with Systems Analysts & Application/Project Managers during the software/integration build and/or configuration process and testing process to ensure successful go lives
  • Participate in user focus groups and requirements workshops, vendor training and demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the designated key resources, clinical application teams to provide the required technical solutions
  • Ensure programs/application & Interoperability design and configuration meet business requirements.
  • Perform required data analysis and run reports at user request
  • Conduct proof-of-concept 
  • Demonstrate new functionality to business users seeking inputs on future direction.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor operational efforts necessary to improve operational and project efficiencies for assigned application 
  • Coordinate the testing and implementation of the solutions through various phases of the product life cycle, including User Acceptance Testing
  • Provide work estimates to managers and project managers as requested based on requirements gathered

  • Ensure efforts to continually improve domain knowledge.
  • Ensure the quality of the deliverables as per the defined standards
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity.
  • Provide data to generate team performance metrics.
  • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders.
  • Adherence to the defined standards.
  • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach.
  • Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues.
  • Actively participate in meetings and make valuable contribution.

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  •  BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.

 

Experience:

  •  2-5+ years Healthcare Industry Integration experience preferred
  •  5+ years expert level experience in providing Integration/Interoperability support on large and complex projects in Healthcare environment
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of principles, methods, technology, and standards for Ineteroperability in a Healthcare setting
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Strong Knowledge of HL7, CCD, Clinical applications, EMR, and Revenue Cycle applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of databases and tools i.e. SQL Server, web services, XML , CCD preferred
  • Working knowledge of integrating systems with at least one third-party service vendors such as Ensemble, eGate, Cloverleaf, Corepoint, Mirth Connect, Orion Rhapsody, OpenLink etc…

  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

 

Travel Requirements:

  •  May require local travel
  •  May require other travel for business needs

 

Working Arrangements:

  • May require after hours on call support
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
