We are currently recruiting for an  Sourcing Specialist /Associate Recruiter to join our team in Melville, NY.


The Allscripts Managed Service Group provides strategic services to help healthcare organizations maximize outcomes while accelerating speed to value from IT initiatives.


The Sourcing Specialist /Associate Recruiter  is responsible for partnering with the Talent Acquisition Team in providing staffing services for the Allscripts’ Managed Service Group. The objective of this position will be to support the Allscripts’ Talent Initiative by sourcing and recruiting high quality professionals in the Healthcare IT arena. In addition, this individual will perform sourcing and recruitment support for multiple departments. A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, and personal organization is required.


  • Generate a pipeline of qualified Information Technology candidates through networking, direct sourcing, and use of available resources
  • Partner with recruiters to generate and implement sourcing strategies, leverage resources that lead to idenfication of top talent
  • Support recruiter(s) and hiring managers to  recruit, schedule and facilitate  “open house interview days as well as other recruiting events
  • Creates relationships with candidates to facilitate process to manage them through the recruiting and selection process while providing complete, accurate, and engaging information to candidates about the company and positions.
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  • Interviews/prescreens candidates and as necessary candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers,
  • Builds and maintains relationships with Hiring Leaders to develop a thorough understanding of their department’s culture and uses that information to determine hiring requirements and build an effective recruitment strategy.
  • Update existing candidate profiles in the database with current information
  • Deliver a superior recruiting experience to both internal and external clients
  • Maintains Staffing/HR documents and policy and procedures information in a centralized database
  • Assists Talent Acquisition Team with projects, events, and/ presentations as assigned
  • Performs additional tasks when requested


Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher 


  • 1-7 years soucing and recruitment experience
  • Demonstrated ability to source for a broad/deep range of positions
  • Knowledge and use of an applicant tracking system required
  • A strong understand of multiple sourcing techniques, including database mining, social media tools, search engine sourcing,networking boolean searches, etc
  • Must be able to manage competing demands and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible
  • Strong communcation , time mangeement and follow-up skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
