Seeking a Senior QA Tool Administrator who will maintain an enterprise-level suite of testing tools to support numerous technologies, platforms, programs and user groups. The successful candidate will monitor, maintain, and support the existing suite of testing tools including HP Application Lifecycle Management, HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), HP Performance Center LoadRunner (PC), and Virtual Testing Center (VTC) including a VMware VSphere Client for 150+ Virtual Users. This is a full-time onsite role.

Responsibilities

    • Lead and administer all HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Administration functions including:
      • Provision and maintain new and existing Domains, and Projects
      • Design, create and modify new and existing user-defined workflow scripts, entities, system/user fields, and templates including customized reports  
      • Create and maintain user accounts and authentication. Ensure users have the right roles/permissions to accomplish their goals
      • Plan, coordinate, and test next generation versions for proposed upgrades
      • Provide guidance to user community during upgrades and migrations
      • Maintain a working relationship with HP SaaS, support, research/development and product teams to review and propose necessary additions/modifications for upcoming product releases
      • Provide troubleshooting assistance with user account and application access
      • Submit and manage tickets/support cases in HP ALM SaaS Portal
      • Develop and conduct HP ALM Center guidance and trainings as necessary
    • Maintain, and support HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), HP Performance Center/LoadRunner (PC), including:
      • Installation, setup and configuration
      • Plan, coordinate, and execute next generation version upgrade when necessary and approved
      • Provide troubleshooting assistance with environment settings, and application access
    • Provide Virtualization Administration functions including:
      • Manage Virtual Testing Center (VTC) using VMware VSphere Client
      • Deploy Virtual Machines through templates
      • Create clones and templates of Virtual Machines
      • Perform V2V Migration
      • Support 98+ Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Clients for Automation and Manual Testing Beds
      • Monitor TCoE dedicated cluster, and 3 ESX Servers
      • Work very closely with Northwell Infrastructure Team shooting Virtual Machines issues
      • Participate in software and hardware requirement analysis, design reviews to understand testing requirements

      • Create and maintain documents for all testing tools
  • Generate Automated Dashboard - Management Reports from Quality Center based to provide the performance on Testing Process using Quality Center, SQL, VB Scripting and Excel macros
  • Provide test coverage analysis based on automation results
  • Execute and analyse results of daily/nightly automated test loads
  • Identify defects and assist with classification, tracking, retesting, and resolution as required
  • Execute to daily targets as indicated by test planning
  • Document detailed defects and issues through the test management system
  • Report Quality Center and QTP environment issues to HP Support group, follow-up and track till closure

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3+ year of experience of HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), HP Performance Center installation, configuration and upgrade
  • Minimum 2+ year Virtualization Administration which include:
      • VMware VSphere Client
      • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
      • ESX Host
  • Strong Visual Basic Scripting
  • Ability to create SQL queries
  • Good knowledge in at least one Object Oriented Language (C, C++, C#, Java)
  • Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills
  • Should be proactive in completing the job assigned with little direction and be adaptable to changing job requirements based upon feedback and new direction
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Visio is required

Required Skills:

  • Current or recent HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) role (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with:
    • HP ALM Administration functions:
      • HP ALM Admin Site configuration
      • User accounts configuration (roles/permissions).
      • HP ALM Upgrades and patch deployment.
      • Design, develop, modify of new and existing HP ALM Workflows (Test Plan, Test lab, defects, reporting, and all others) and create new one as need

 

 

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  •  BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience

 

Experience:

  •  2-5 years industry experience preferred
  •  5-10 years practical experience preferred

 

Travel Requirements:

  •  May require local travel
  •  May require other travel for business needs

 

Working Arrangements:

  • May require after hours on call support
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
