    This is a full time onsite position.  As the Senior Automation Test Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to develop, test, a maintain suites of automation test cases across large number of healthcare applications software products to both external and internal clients/vendors. You will be responsible for the Automation Testing delivery lifecycle, and create, modify and execute automation suites of scripts using HP Unified Functional Test Professional (UFT).  This is a hand - on senior automation test engineer role and candidate will be expected to participate heavily in scripting (not just recording), execution, analysis tasks, and framework development. The Senior Automation Test Engineer must be familiar with standard software test and quality processes, methodologies, and tools, and must have a track record of very high technical competence and individual accomplishments that includes strong coding and scripting skills.



           The Technical Testing Analyst is responsible for the following:

    • Lead, guide and mentor an off-shore Automation Testing Team 
    • Lead test automation deliverables across multiple capital project  
    • Develop and maintain a suite of automated tests, and compiled modules containing re-usable functions using HP UFT version 12.5 
    • Execute and analyze results of nightly automated test runs, using HP UFT version 12.5 Utilize HP UFT, Selenium , VbScript, and other automation frameworks 
    • Write SQL QC reports to assist with defect tracking and leadership communication 
    • Develop excel macros for upload and reporting of automated scripts and assist in all areas of the testing process 
    • Participate in automation framework design, and collaborating with the automation offshore team 
    • Identify defects, issues and risks within the software system. 
    • Work closely and proactively with the Business and product teams to determine the best way to increase the quality of the product
    • Execute to daily targets as indicated by test planning
    • Document detailed defects and issues through the test management system
    • Report Quality Center and QTP environment issues to HP Support group, follow-up and track till closure





    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    •  BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience



    •  2-5 years industry experience preferred
    •  5-10 years practical experience preferred
    • Expert in HP UFT (unified Functional Test) 
    • Strong experience in Automation Framework development  Experienced with HP Quality Center 12.2
      Experienced in Descriptive Programming and Data Driven Test Scripts in UFT to perform functional, integration and regression testing 
    • Experienced in data analyses and data validation by writing SQL queries.  Strong in Macro (Microsoft excel scripting) 
    • Strong Programming Skills (object oriented languages for example: Java, C#)  - Good to have** 
    • Very strong communication skills 
    • Very strong writing skills to write test plans and specs 
    • Very strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently



    Minimum 5 years of experience 

    Must possess excellent written and verbal skills 

    Effective interpersonal & organizational skills  

    Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task & work in a fast paced environment  Must be able to interact with various teams in a matrix environment  

    Good communication & team skills  

    Degree in a technical discipline






    Travel Requirements:

    •  May require local travel
    •  May require other travel for business needs


    Working Arrangements:

    • May require after hours on call support
    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
